With individual specialisms in screen printing, jewellery and painting, the group also work together and with friends. As a group they have organised and curated exhibitions and events at galleries including the V&A, Dazed and Confused and LYNfabrikken, Denmark, as well as commissions for the V&A and Paul Smith. In addition to this work, they also sell an ever expanding range of products in boutique stores around the world as well as on the Garudio Studiage on line shop.
These Photos are all taken from the on going project “Photo of the Week” a feature on the Garudio website featuring observations of the (mainly) urban environment. They are taken by any of the four members, depicting things some people might not notice or think worth looking at and definitely not things worth taking a photograph of.
“There is a South East London and particularly Peckham slant to a lot of the photos as all four Garudio members have all lived and worked there for a long time and it still throws up things you would never expect and things that just make you think ‘how and why?’”
Some of these photos have also evolved into a project to capture more of the place they were taken, using a screen print process and real dust collected from the location the photo was taken to create a unique image of a place and time (bottom four images).
